Like many collectors, our story started with one small die-cast car.
What began as a casual purchase soon became a growing collection of Hot Wheels, MINI GT, Tomica and other 1:64 models. Each car carried something different: the memory of a favorite race, an iconic movie scene, a dream garage, or simply the excitement of finding a model we had been searching for.
But as the collection grew, so did a frustrating realization:
The cars were made with incredible detail, yet there was no meaningful way to display them.
Some remained sealed inside their original boxes. Others gathered dust on crowded shelves or disappeared into storage drawers. Even the most special models looked ordinary when placed in a plain acrylic case.
They were protected—but they did not feel alive.
We searched for something better: a display that could protect each car while also giving it atmosphere, character and a sense of place. We wanted illuminated garages, miniature streets, rotating showrooms and handcrafted scenes that made every model feel as though it belonged to a larger world.
When we could not find what we imagined, we decided to create it ourselves.
Our first designs were simple. We experimented with lighting, acrylic structures, printed backgrounds and miniature garage details. We adjusted proportions again and again, looking for the right balance between the car and its surroundings. Every millimeter mattered, because at 1:64 scale, the smallest detail can transform an ordinary display into a believable world.
That idea became Whimoment—a place where miniature cars meet design, storytelling and imagination.
The name represents the moments that make collecting meaningful: the excitement of discovering a new model, the satisfaction of arranging a scene, and the quiet joy of seeing a favorite car illuminated on your desk at night.
As collectors ourselves, we never wanted to create ordinary storage boxes. We wanted to build experiences.
